The 2022 NCDD Annual Summer Session Seminar will be held in Chicago this year! The theme is “Persuasive DUI Trial Techniques: The Superstars of DUI” It will feature nationally recognized attorneys teaching trial techniques for the defense of any DUI case that comes through your door. Regardless of your level of experience, or whether you handle DUI cases full-time or as a part of a larger criminal practice, this course will prepare you to obtain more acquittals and more favorable resolutions and let you hit it out of the park!. This course is a start to finish DUI seminar covering all the bases!

George L. Bianchi George is recognized nationwide as an innovator in the defense of DUI and other alcohol/drug-related crimes. He has lectured at numerous CLE programs throughout the United States concerning DUI defense and has been lead counsel in several cases resolving significant criminal law issues. In 2012, George was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers “In Recognition of and Appreciation for Distinguished Service to the Organization and Its Goals”	Edward L. Fiandach Mr. Fiandach has been practicing DWI defense for over 40 years and is board certified by the American Bar Association in DUI defense. He has given almost 300 lectures nationwide on DWI and alcohol-related issues and is the author of over 100 articles on alcohol and alcohol-related operating offenses He has been factory trained on the National Patent Analytical System Datamaster.
Lynn Gorelick Ms. Gorelick has represented people charged with DUI for over 38 years. She has NEVER been a prosecutor who pursues convictions. She has only DEFENDED people accused of crimes. She has not only lectured nationally, but has done training for the Alameda County Bar Association and Alameda County Public Defenders offices.	Michael M. Hawkins Mike brings a wealth of trial experience to protecting the rights of those who have been injured. In 2001, Hawkins became the youngest lawyer in the country to obtain board certification in DUI Defense. Mr. Hawkins has taught trial techniques and DUI Defense to lawyers across the country.
Michael J. Kennedy Mr. Kennedy is a constitutional attorney extraordinaire. He was dubbed “Captain Motion” by a supervising criminal calendar judge in Indio, CA over two decades ago because of the enormous volume and success rate of his criminal motions. In March of 2011, He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of the California DUI Lawyers Association for scholarship, teaching and courtroom effectiveness.	Judge Roderick Kennedy (Ret.) Judge Kennedy is trained as an awareness-level instructor in responding to terrorist bombings and chaired the New Mexico Supreme Court’s Committee on Statewide Courthouse Security. Judge Kennedy is known for his expertise and teaching regarding the interface between law and science. He was the first Chair of Bernalillo County’s DWI Planning Council, leading the creation of a $2.5 million treatment center at the Bernalillo County Jail, and the intensive pretrial supervision program that formed an early model for what is now Drug Court in Albuquerque.
William K. Kirk A regular speaker at this seminar, Bill has lectured now in over a dozen states in DUI Defense. He has been recognized as one of Washington's Top 25 Defense Attorneys on two separate occasions. Named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics every year since 2003 Bill served as the President of the Washington Foundation for Criminal Justice.	Dr. Henry C. Lee Dr. Henry C. Lee is one of the world's foremost forensic scientists. Dr. Lee's work has made him a landmark in modern-day forensic sciences. He is currently the Chief Emeritus for the Department of Public Safety, tdision of Scientific Services and was the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Safety for over two years and has served as that state's Chief Criminalist from 1979 to 2000. Dr. Henry Lee has authored hundreds of articles in professional journals and has co-authored more than 25 textbooks, covering the areas, such as DNA, Fingerprints, Trace Evidence, Crime Scene Investigation and Crime Scene Reconstruction.
Andrea D. Lyon Dubbed “The Angel of Death Row” by the Chicago Tribune, she was the first woman to serve as lead attorney in a death penalty case, and she holds an unparalleled 19 wins in 19 capital cases. Managing a 22-lawyer unit, she tried over 130 homicide cases and defended more than 30 potential capital cases at the trial level, including taking 19 capital cases through penalty phase. In January of 2015, Ms. Lyon was awarded Operation Push’s Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and President Lyndon B. Johnson Dream-Makers Award.	Professor Thomas A. Mauet Professor Mauet teaches Evidence, Pretrial Litigation, and Trial Advocacy. He is a former regional director of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and has taught in numerous NITA programs throughout the United States since 1976. Professor Mauet's research interests center on the application of social science research, particularly in psychology and communications, to the jury trial process.
W. Troy McKinney Two movies have been made ABC and HBO about cases defended by Mr. McKinney. He is frequently consulted and quoted in a variety of media publications, which recently have included Time Magazine, Texas Lawyer, the National Law Journal, and the Houston Chronicle. He has appeared on Donahue, Larry King, A&E, TNN, Current Affairs, as well as a variety of local news programs. Mr. McKinney is a frequent speaker throughout the country and internationally on DWI and other criminal law issues.	Doug Murphy Doug has been recognized as a Top Lawyer for the People by H-Texas magazine, and was referred to as the “Drinking Driver’s Best Friend” by the Houston Press. Doug was named the 2012 Sharon Levine Unsung Hero Lawyer of the Year Award by the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association for his efforts in exposing the flaws in the Houston Police Departments BAT (breath alcohol testing) vans. Doug is a nationally recognized legal seminar lecturer, and author of numerous published legal articles.
Lauren B. Stuckert Lauren Stuckert of Mishlove & Stuckert, LLC. is Wisconsin’s second, and the Nation’s youngest, Board-Certified OWI Defense Specialist She has litigated hundreds of cases to courts and juries throughout the state of Wisconsin, securing numerous not guilty verdicts and dismissals for her clients in both breath and blood test cases. She has spearheaded the challenge to marijuana blood detection at low levels in the state of Wisconsin and speaks nationally on that topic and other DUI-defense related matters at various legal education seminars throughout the country.
