Mr. McConathy dedicates his practice to criminal defense, serving clients throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth areas who have been charged with crimes such as DUI/DWI, domestic violence, drug charges, firearm offenses, juvenile crime, marijuana offenses, property crime, sexual offenses, theft offenses, traffic offenses, violent crime, white collar crime and various other violations. Mr. McConathy has been licensed to practice law in the state of Texas since 2002 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and earned his law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. In addition to litigating various criminal defense matters in Texas state courts, Mr. McConathy has handled cases in appellate and municipal courts. He has experience with a wide variety of both misdemeanor and felony cases as well as federal criminal matters. He and his team of attorneys all practice criminal defense law and are committed to defending Dallas and Fort Worth area individuals facing criminal charges. When he is not running his criminal defense practice, Mr. McConathy enjoys being an active member of the legal community. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Criminal Lawyers Association. He also served as treasurer of the criminal law section of the Dallas Bar Association from 2004 to 2006.
