About Neil A. Horn

My practice focuses on criminal and traffic defense. I started life as a prosecutor and then went out on my own in 2004. In my almost 27 years of lawyering, I've handling all kinds of cases, from drunk in public to capital murder. I also served 6 years as a substitute general district court judge presiding over criminal, traffic and civil cases. In March 2024, I moved my office to Salem, Virginia right next to Roanoke. My focus remains on criminal defense, but I have increased my specialization in DUI and DUID defense. I take advantage of the intensive training provided by NCDD and the VA Bar as often as possible. Contact me for a consultation in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding jurisdictions.

Personal Contact: Using the Officer's Observations Against Them

03/10/2025

Written by Charles GoodwinEdited by Michelle Behan and Steven Hernandez The typical DUI investigation has three phases.
