About Douglas J. Baxter

A native Oklahoman, Senior Associate Attorney Douglas Baxter handles felony and misdemeanor DUI, APC, DWI, and other criminal cases for clients of the Hunsucker Legal Group. Mr. Baxter earned undergraduate degrees from Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City and Southern Nazarene University and his law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Mr. Baxter is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and the United States Federal Court in the Western District of Oklahoma. Mr. Baxter attends and participates in numerous local and national DUI seminars and has attended the National College for DUI Defense’s Trial Skills Summer Session, held annually at Harvard Law School. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Mr. Baxter is trained in standardized field sobriety testing and breath testing methods, and he has put his knowledge to work in obtaining numerous dismissals and reductions in DUI cases for his clients. Prior to joining the Hunsucker Legal Group, Mr. Baxter interned with Judge Lumpkin of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. This experience gave him valuable insight into Oklahoma legal proceedings which he puts to use for the benefit of his clients. Since joining the firm, Mr. Baxter has obtained numerous dismissals and successfully argued many motions.
