Tom Haren helps people who have a lot to lose after they’ve been accused of a crime and takes each case seriously because he understands the impact a criminal conviction can have on your life. It can affect your ability to get or maintain employment. It can affect your chances of getting insurance, or it might cause your insurance rates to skyrocket. A conviction can put a strain on your marriage, and can serve as ammunition for an ex-spouse to try to gain leverage in child custody proceedings. Convictions can mean jail or prison time, as well as embarrassment in your community.
There is no such thing as a minor criminal conviction.
Tom’s clients know that they can get in touch with him if they ever have a question about their case. They know he will take the time to explain the process. They know he will fight for them. They know that he doesn’t quit on his clients.
Tom grew up in a small Italian village outside of Youngstown, Ohio, and has lived in the Cleveland area since 2004. He began with Seeley, Savidge, Ebert & Gourash Co., LPA in January 2013, and practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense.
He believes that reputation management must play an integral role in any criminal defense strategy. Tom has experience in that area, having previously been quoted in the New York Times, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and other media outlets.
Tom his involved in his local community through the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Cuyahoga County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, and the Legal Committee for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. He is an original member of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Solo Incubator Advisory Council, as well.
